Description
The Neapolitan saltimbocca is a flattened sandwich with an elongated shape, made from pizza bread, and differs from the panuozzo in size: the saltimbocca is in fact smaller and less puffy. Once ready, it can be stuffed with ham and mozzarella, sausage and friarielli or any filling you like, choosing from cold meats, cheeses and vegetables; it is then heated on the griddle to melt the cheeses and make it even tastier. Cut into single-portion slices, it can also be served for a buffet, or to accompany hors d’oeuvres instead of bread.
